I love watching classy shows on TV that are jammed packed with great fashion and fabulous accessories. Every now and again I find someone is wearing a Julleen Pearl Earring Design, or some very similar pieces that have been in the Julleen Pearl Jewellery, range for two decades but are still as popular today in 2019 as when they were first created.
Here’s the earring we are discussing today, one we call Cheryl! A Julleen swing style that holds one luscious 10 mm white pearl. How lovely to see the Katherine Heigl wearing a Julleen design on global TV.
Pearl Jewellery and particularly Pearl Dress Rings are really not as common as you would think. Soldering pearls with sterling silver is quite an art. It is for this reason we know the quality of a nice pearl ring is paramount. Recently black pearls are trending worldwide. I think most women now own a string of white pearls but really the black pearl is a little more rare and now people are wanting to expand their pearl collection with black pearls.
When I find a true black or coffee black Mabe Pearl and knowing it’s a rarity, I just love to have it set either into a pendant or a ring. A chocolate or coffee colour black mabe is hard to find now – many blacks have a blue green tinge to them.
Yes we do have pearl dress rings. The featured Black Pearl ring just sold yesterday to very lucky lady in Texas, USA. I felt the beauty of it should be recorded somewhere and it is for this reason, I made a little blog post today to celebrate the Julleen Pearl dress rings.
The one just below is featured in my Etsy store called Julleen Jewels and is a lovely design that will fit any size as it is adjustable! You may be the lucky person who gets to own this gorgeous ring – but be quick – these rare rings don’t last long.
I am thrilled to bits to share this beautiful suite which comprises clip on earrings a bracelet and necklace in all lovely black pearls with a splashing of pretty gold and harlequin pearls and set with gold vermeil spacers and components. This was made for an 87th birthday for a very special Mum who lives all the way in Houston! I just love being commissioned to let my artistic juices flow and create a piece that will live on for many generations to come. However to match up three pieces to create a suite was just heaven!
It began with my customer purchasing some divine black pearl clip on earrings in gold vermeil then she asked me whether I had any images or bracelets and necklaces I thought would match. Well! of course! I sent her images of past designs I had made already sold unfortunately but that I could replicate and tone in to the lovely earrings.
After a full afternoon and early evening I managed to complete the accessories and here is the result of the entire suite.
Love it!
PS – my customer loved it so much she bought the ring to match! now that is quite a suite of pearl jewellery!
I was commissioned to make a lovely suite of black pearls for a very special lady in Houston who turns 87 years young shortly. The suite comprises a black pearl clip in earring, bracelet and necklace to match.
What a wonderful present for a daughter to have made for her Mum. I am privileged to be designing these lovely pieces and am enjoying every minute of it. I thought I would share part two here today and will add the new necklace when completed.
The origin of the name ‘Amethyst’ comes from the Greek a meaning ‘not’ and methuein meaning ‘to be drunken’. According to ancient Greek myth, the unfortunate mortal who was the subject of Dionysus’ (right) curse was a young woman named Amethyst. Angered by another god, Dionysus cursed Amethyst to be eaten by a tiger. Unhappy with what she saw, Artemis came to her aide and turned Amethyst into a white stone to protect her. Repentant, Dionysus poured wine over the stone turning it purple
According to Greek mythology the god of wine Baccus fell in love with a nymph called Diana. Read more on the script below.
Amethyst is a predominately purple to violet variety of quartz. The colour of amethyst is a result or irritation within the crystal structure of the stone. Amethyst is widely known to originate from Brazil and Uruguay although it occurs in many other localities including South Korea, Australia, Russia, Zambia and across North America. Value is determined largely by colour and clarity. The highestgrade Amethyst, known within the trade as ‘Deep Russian’, is considered rare and can fetch higher prices due to demand
Amethysts are always stunning and set with pearls well! they are just divine. Set with other gems like citrine and peridot the purple of amethyst just looks good enough to eat.
Check out the colour Purple with loads more delicious amethysts to “see and feel and possible to OWN!”
When things are changing so dramatically over the world on a daily basis, it is so lovely to see there are some stories that are are consistent and a real joy to share. I just received a lovely image of a young woman now with a family of her own who wore a Julleen Pearl Necklace set for her graduation and is still wearing the pearl jewellery set. She sent me the pic on Valentines Day and shared her post by saying she is wearing her much loved set to lunch on that day.
I was so pleased pre Christmas! to announce all our online sales were now to be delivered by Sendle. I had sent things before with them but on New Year’s Day a package was picked up by them and was never to be seen or heard of again. I had used the option of “signature on delivery”. NO signature over a month later then, means no delivery. We can’t control these couriers and their deliveries or non deliveries. Really the onus cannot be on the sender but the couriers who carry out a service they were paid to do.
What a RIP OFF! such a waste of good money using this company. In one week over the Christmas season they LOST two of my parcels one domestic and one International. For both I felt obligated to help these hard done by customers and needless to say, I saw to exactly that.
There is now a use of a disclaimer in the International deliveries. They won’t cover any losses (period) if the parcel is not received. Can you believe this? So watch out people and do not use this company please.
One parcel didn’t even leave WA! Let alone go to USA where it was to be delivered. Yet it looked like it was still in transit in their control panel.
I would preferred donating the items and the money I lost to charity. Instead, some lucky person scored two lovely free items for Christmas.
