I don’t know about you but I love looking at the outfits worn by the women on the Red Carpet. Of course last night was our night of nights for Australian TV – our Annual Logies!  I have a few hot faves and thought Jessica Marias and Asher Keddie looked fantastic. So original and at least they dare to be unique.

I have personally great fun finding products that will accessorize a particular colour. Today I’ve chosen Mint green. I make lots of pearl jewellery with silver and gemstones in this gorgeous pastel colour. Hope you enjoy the images presented below .

Blue always is a popular fashion colour and this year it’s a marine, electric or very bold rich blue, that everyone can’t get enough of. I love it..so no complaints here. In relation to jewellery..there are but a very few more popular gemstones than Lapis Lazuli. If there is ever a stone that most people just “have to have” it’s a piece in beautiful blue lapis . Along with other gemstone, blue topaz and blue agate and we can’t forget blue Sapphires, Lapis really activates the senses because of it’s stunningly rich vibrancy of tone and texture.. it’s almost intoxicating.

Ahhh! Lapis Lazuli with it’s tiny veins of gold or deeper blue or even white contrasting speckles, is what makes this stone a real winner. It’s difficult to create designs that will suit everyone but I think we have here in our delicious collection of jewellery with a touch of Blue Lapis and down right opulence of the brilliant Lapis and Pearl cuff bracelet. Whatever your mood Lapis will most assuredly give you a huge lift in lightness of being. No wonder the Egyptians were mad for it. Julleen Pearl Jewellery Designs ….As Individual As You!

I am not a world expert on nature by any means and my posts come from what I have learned over the years in the pearl industry. Often I write from the heart and it comes out exactly as it would, if I were talking to you directly. I do this on my youtube videos also. Today I revised a listing I had on Etsy for Black Baroque Pearl Earrings. I have loved these particular pearls for a long while now and sometimes I find it hard to part with things that are special, to me. Yet often inspiration comes from strange and unique things. I decided to match these pearls into sets, then mount them into single bezels and create special black pearl earrings in sterling silver. These sorts of pearls are not for everyone but there are many people, just like myself that adore what nature has to offer, even in crude or rough ways and when I saw these beauties I had to show them to the world. When black pearls are formed the irritation often starts with one grain of sand and a black lipped oyster (that can only live in areas where the sand is black..makes sense right?). Black sand comes from volcanic residue formed countless years ago and so when you look at these simply amazing pearls surely if you can stop and just think for a minute then nature is showing you something extraordinary.
